24hr Window Dressing Special… 16th of June, 2011
“Have you ever seen someone give a talk after they’ve been cycling for 24 hours non-stop? Here’s your chance.”
James Bowthorpe is currently sat on a static bicycle, with a training platform donated by our friends at Rollapaluza, cycling for 24 hours straight! He is the new window dressing for cult café, bar and workshop, Look Mum No Hands.
Come along to cheer him on and countdown the final 30 minutes from 7pm TONIGHT! Afterwards, James will give a brief and breathless presentation of his plans for the next 12 months, including a non-stop race across America, several non-stop mountain bike adventures in the UK and a multi-stop adventure down the Hudson River.
We’ll be there to support him and you should be too. It’s not everyday you get to hangout with an absolute legend!

PEDALARE PEDALARE! 5th of May, 2011
Our good friends at Look Mum No Hands have gone all spaghetti over the up coming Giro d’Italia. As a nice warm up to the race, they are launching a wonderful book by John Foot; “Pedalare Pedalare!”
It is the first complete history of Italian cycling available in English and covers everything chronologically since the first ever Giro in 1909.
The history of cycling in Italy is fascinating with entries in the book covering how cycling sparked political rows, changed the language, nearly caused a civil war and even accounts of the first ever female competitor and the Pope shouting the name of a Giro competitor in elation from his balcony!
I know I want to get my hand on this before the big off on Saturday and you should too.
Drinks and literature from 6:30pm TONIGHT at Look Mum No Hands. 49 Old Street, London EC1V 9HX
