The cycle 2 work scheme is a uk government tax incentive aimed at encouraging employees to cycle to work and allows them to save up to 55% on a bicycle and accessories. As part of the uk government’s green transport plan, employers are able to provide cycles and safety equipment to employees as a tax-free benefit. technically speaking the employee hires a bicycle from his/her employer, and buys it at the end of the salary sacrifice period (usually 12 months) at fair market value. Also please note that if you would like to get a foffa bike through one of the tax free bike to work providers, we charge a 10% build fee (since according to hmrc guidelines goods can be tax free but not services), although this does not apply for the work scheme.
